Eating out
Eating out with
children can turn out to be less than relaxing if the restaurant is not
chosen carefully. Listed below are some of the
things to look out for when choosing a restaurant to go to with children.
Not all of the areas will be important to all people but they should help
you in your choice of restaurant.
- The food - is there
more than fish fingers, pizzas and chips on the menu?
- Does the children's
food come first?
- Are the children
provided with some activities to keep them busy whilst waiting for their
food?
- Are there high chairs
available
- Are there non-smoking
areas in the restaurant?
- Are there baby changing
facilities?
- Is there safe outdoor
space?

restaurants are listed below. Please email your recommendations to

Belgo |
Based on Belgian Chips,
Beer & Moules (mussels) there are a few restaurants dotted around
London. Two kids eat free from the children's menu per adult
eating a main course from the a la carte menu. |

Blue Kangaroo, Fulham |
This is a restaurant
with a play area downstairs (up to age 7).
You can sit in the coffee bar
downstairs in the play area, providing healthy and nutritious
breakfast, lunch and teatime menus for you and your little ones. Or
relax in the restaurant whilst keeping an eye on your kids on the big
screen linked to the play area downstairs, and choose a delicious meal
made with high quality (mostly organic) ingredients |

Pizza Express |
On every high street
corner there is a Pizza Express. The food is pretty consistent
from one branch t the other. We particularly like Pizza Express
as they serve the food quickly, so little time for the children to get
bored. |

Rainforest Cafe |
This international chain
of restaurants aims to give you a rainforest experience as well as
good food. The kids will love this one. |

There is more than one

Smollensky on the Strand gives itself over to the family every Sunday.
They have a clown as well as other things to entertain. |

Wagamama |
Japanese based noodle bar
with too many locations to mention (see their website). The kids
