Cycling
Cycling is a fun activity
for the whole family. Listed here are just some of the places to
cycle which are relatively easy and safe for children (as well as adults
who are trying to keep up with the children!).

Waterside |
The British Waterways
website, Waterscape, is full of ideas for cycle routes. You can
insert your postcode and find what's near you. Good for when you
are on holiday too. |

Richmond Park |
Richmond Park is the
largest open space in London covering almost 1,000 hectares (2,500
acres). It has a dedicated cycle path, the only downside being
that it can be quite busy. |

Trent Park |
Trent Park is in
Cockfosters. Most of the paths are nice and wide which make for
easy cycling. |

Lea Valley |
Lea Valley is a nature
reserve where you can cycle within the confines of the reserve or
along the tow path of the canal. Within the reserve, there are a
number of bird lookouts which are fun to stop off to see what you can
spot. |

Epping Forest |
Epping Forest is the
largest public open space in the London area, measuring 19km x 4km,
two-thirds of which is wooded. It has great trails for mountain
bikes. |
