London Aquarium The London Aquarium is housed in what used to be County Hall.  This is a good rainy day activity, not so great on a nice day as there is no natural light. London Aquarium

Hackney City Farm

The Farm is home to a variety of animals ranging from the little Degus to the big Donkey. Walking into the Yard you will find geese and turkeys parading around, accompanied by ducks, of all breeds & chickens, of all sizes and colours, including breeds such as the Bantam and Brahms.  There is also a family friendly cafe here as well as art classes.

Lee Valley Park Farm

Meet friendly farm animals in a traditional farmyard setting, have fun in the adventure playground and meet small animals and reptiles in the Pet Centre. Picnic in the Tudor barn or have a bite to eat in the tearoom.  Visit the working farm where you can watch the farmer milking the cows every afternoon.

In Docklands, this farm houses a wide variety of farmyard animals for people of all ages to enjoy. In addition to the goats, Mudchute also has sheep, pigs, horses, cows, ducks, geese and dogs.

Stepping Stones in Stepney has a full range of farm animals, a shop and café where a variety of home-produce can be purchased and consumed.

Freightliners City Farm

The Farm has a wide variety of animals ranging from rare breed pigs & goats to new born lambs and chicks. Farm staff can show you how to make cheese, yogurt or ice cream. Learn how the wool from sheep can be cleaned, spun and then woven or knitted so that you can wear jumpers to keep you warm in Winter

Syon Park In this large estate is the London Butterfly House and the Aquatic Experience.  Apart from animal life there is Syon House itself, gardens, a garden centre and an indoor children's play centre (Snakes and Ladders).

Mead Open Farm, Leighton Buzzard Plenty of animals to see as well as fun indoor & outdoor play areas. Mead Open farm

Willows Farm, London Colney Located at London Colney, this farm is great for the younger age group.  It is not cheap but once in, you don't have to pay for any activities including a boat ride, trampolines and 'gold' panning.  There is a touching barn, sheep goats etc as well as some fun stuff to watch such as sheep racing!
